Open Yet Hidden
For this project, a home was designed for a couple of ascetics who place great importance on tranquility, privacy, and visual simplicity. Their need for a peaceful living environment gave rise to the concept of a home that is spatially open but remains visually enclosed.
Through the use of half-height walls and interlocking volumes, the spaces flow into one another without revealing the entire home at a single glance.
This creates an open and connected living environment while preserving the residents’ privacy. The result is a home centered on tranquility, a sense of security, and controlled sightlines.
